Assistant doctor in further training

At our institute, physicians have the opportunity to pursue further training to become specialists in microbiology, virology and infectious disease epidemiology. Further training takes place in cooperation with the Hospital Hygiene Unit of the UKW and the Institute of Virology of the JMU. The training period is 5 years.

Working as an assistant physician at the IHM offers highly topical and challenging tasks in infection medicine with close proximity to patient care as well as the opportunity for internationally visible scientific work. We work closely together as colleagues in the areas of diagnostics, research and hospital hygiene.

Unsolicited applications from physicians with an interest in scientific work in the fields of medical microbiology and infection biology are always welcome.

Biology laboratory assistants & medical technical assistants

We are regularly looking for dedicated colleagues for our diagnostic laboratories. We welcome trained MTAs, BTAs and biology laboratory assistants with professional experience, as well as young professionals who are willing to learn after completing their training. The work in microbiological diagnostics covers a broad spectrum of examination methods and offers varied tasks in a collegial environment.
